Stratengy Announces Woman-Owned Small Business Certification

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Feb. 24, 2016 - PRLog -- Stratengy, a consulting organization that works with companies and individuals to develop personalized business strategies and offers guidance through qualified and trained job coaches, has become a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB).

In February, 2011 the Small Business Administration (SBA) created a special contracting class for WOSB to facilitate the hiring process. Qualifying businesses can become WOSB certified, making them eligible for contracting set asides of five percent of agency budgets. The WOSB category is the result of findings that some types of small businesses are underrepresented in the federal contracting system.

The WOSB Federal Contract Program allows contracting officers, for the first time, to set aside specific contracts for certified WOSBs and will help federal agencies achieve the existing statutory goal of five percent of federal contracting dollars being awarded to WOSBs.
