By: Total Airport Services, LLC “Since our first meeting, it’s been apparent that Icelandair and TAS share the same philosophy on providing the highest level of service,” stated Daniel Malinowski, TAS Vice President of Business Development, who spearheaded the project. “Our handling Icelandair complements our existing operations on the international terminal, allowing TAS to better utilize equipment and labor.” The aviation service provider continues to expand its reach at the airport, in line with its long-term strategy. According to Gerald Kolasch, Chief Commercial Officer for TAS, “Since receiving our first contract for the international terminal just three months ago, TAS now handles four passenger carriers at ORD, including Icelandair.” Icelandair flies to Chicago four times per week from its hub in Reykjavik, with connections to more than 20 cities in Europe. The carrier currently operates a fleet of Boeing 757s but has plans to begin flying the wide-body Boeing 767-300ER through O’Hare in June 2016, according to Malinowski. End
