THE STORY OF A “BAND”
Once upon a time, during a woman’s emergency cesarean section, she couldn’t stop
vomiting in the operating room and post operatively. She couldn’t enjoy her time with her
new born beautiful girl because she felt so miserable from the nausea. The only thing that
helped was a pair of peppermint leaves that her anesthetist gave her to smell. She had to
have her husband to pick up the leaves again and again because she kept dropping them on
the floor.
She tried her best to hold on to the peppermint leaves and breastfeed her child at the same
time. That’s just impossible. Herself being an Anesthesiologist Assistant, she taped a small
ball of gauze to her wrists and hoped for the best. She started feeling a lot better and
anytime she got any uneasy feeling, she would smell the leaves.
When she returned home she searched for a product like this and found that no one had
ever combined these two well documented anti-nausea strategies: acupressure and
aromatherapy.
