The Toast of the Boston Restaurant Industry

BOSTON - Feb. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- There’s no party like a hospitality industry party! On Sunday, March 13^th, 2016Empire, Boston’s Seaport District’s contemporary Asian dining destination, will play host to “The Toast” and the “Star of the Bar Competition” as part of the official after-party of The 2016 New England Food Show hosted by the National Restaurant Association (NRA) and the Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA).

Beginning at 6:00PM restaurant owners, chefs, service personnel, back of house staff as well at the industry’s business partners and general public can mix, mingle, network and exchange stories about the trials and tribulations encountered in everyone’s favorite industry at this lively post-show event.

Admission is $25.00 per person and includes complimentary passed appetizers and a great atmosphere provided by Empire and Big Night Entertainment Group. In addition to great food, libations (available for purchase) and company held at one of Boston’s premier hot spots, The Toast will feature the “Star of The Bar--“ a friendly competition to find the best bartender in the northeast.

Starting at 6:00PM, ambitious mixologists from Greater Boston will craft their best cocktail using Jägermeister during this two-hour long competition judged by a panel of media, previous Star of the Bar champions, and cocktail personalities. The top three (3) competitors will advance to the Boston Final held on the Show Floor of the New England Food Show at the Boston Convention and Events Center where they’ll mix it up in front of a live audience on Monday, March 14^th, 2016. Boston’s finalist will win a trip to Chicago where they’ll represent the region in the annual Star of the Bar competition and have a chance to claim the ultimate title and a prize of $5,000!
