Long Island Boot Camp Helps People Feel Better While Fighting A Terrible Disease
Love Your Body Event
Total Body Boot Camp and Performance Center in Farmingdale is hosting a unique event on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11 AM. The Love Your Body event is a class on the little known techniques of Self Myofascial Release and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS). The use of these techniques can result in improved circulation, pain reduction, improved movement, and better posture.
The focus will be to help people in their everyday lives. The stretches and techniques that the clients will be learning will improve their sleep, increase their flexibility, decrease stress and pain, and so much more!
The cost of the event is $20 with proceeds going to Perthes disease research.
Perthes disease is a rare childhood condition that affects the hip.
Treatment for Perthes focuses on helping the bone grow back into a more rounded shape that still fits into the socket of the hip joint. This will help the hip joint move normally and prevent hip problems in adulthood.
