Pet Professional Guild launches hotline for pet owners looking to locate a professional

Hotline allows pet owners to tap into PPG’s rapidly expanding international network to find a training or behavior specialist
WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. - Feb. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Tampa, FL – The Pet Professional Guild (PPG) has launched a dedicated hotline for pet owners who need help with a training or behavior problem but have been unable to locate a force-free professional locally to assist them.

Spearheaded by PPG’s advocacy committee, hotline callers can either leave a voicemail or fill out an online form with some brief details about themselves and their pet. A member of the PPG advocacy committee will respond to every enquiry within 24 hours.

Although the hotline is based in the United States, the online form has been made available specifically to assist those residing elsewhere. PPG has a rapidly expanding network of animal behavior and training professionals worldwide, with chapters currently located in the United States, British Isles, Australia and Singapore. More are due to come online soon. Even regions without an international chapter usually have PPG members in the vicinity and the hotline allows pet owners to tap into that network.

“PPG has an online zip code locator for the United States so that pet owners can find a training or behavior professional located nearby, but we felt a need to make it even easier for those who might be experiencing difficulty in finding the right person to help them,” said PPG founder and president, Niki Tudge. “With the inception of the hotline, more owners will have access to PPG’s highly skilled, educated and knowledgeable pet professionals and be able to enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing their pet’s training and behavior needs are in the best hands possible.”

As awareness regarding the use of positive, humane, scientifically sound and force-free training techniques grows, pet owners are becoming more particular in who they hire to train their dog or assist with a behavior problem. PPG members are uniquely committed to using non-aversive methods only and the hotline ensures that the right help is easily accessible to pet owners in what is currently an unregulated market. PPG’s guiding principles state that no shock, no pain, no choke, no fear, no physical force, no physical molding, and no compulsion-based methods are ever employed to train or care for a pet.

The hotline number is +1 (914) 357-5481 and the online form is located at www.petprofessionalguild.com/Behavior-Hot-Line.
