Irvine Company launches KINETIC, a new approach to workplace healthcare, fitness and wellness

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Feb. 18, 2016 - PRLog -- Irvine Company opened the doors today at KINETIC, a new concept in health that combines a St. Joseph Hoag Health Wellness Corner, fitness facilities and lifestyle coaching under one roof. At its flagship Newport Center location, St. Joseph Hoag Health and Active Wellness, LLC will serve as its premier medical and fitness partners.

KINETIC is unique in offering customers an integrated experience where nutrition, lifestyle, weight management and personal training experts collaborate to provide a personalized approach toward each individual’s journey to look and feel their best.

Irvine Company plans to expand KINETIC to its workplace communities in Orange County, San Diego, West Los Angeles and the Silicon Valley, working with premier local health and wellness providers in each market.

Located at 600 Newport Center Drive across from Fashion Island, the 17,000-square-foot flagship KINETIC is divided into three areas: a St. Joseph Hoag Health Wellness Corner; an upscale fitness center exclusively for Irvine Company’s office customers in Newport Center; and The Zone, a boutique fitness training studio operated by Active Wellness, LLC.

The Wellness Corner is part of St. Joseph Hoag Health’s larger wellness initiative to create a healthier community through the increased availability of wellness services, such as lifestyle coaching, preventive care and skin health, as well as convenient medical care for common illnesses, injuries and chronic conditions. The centers focus on providing quality care and convenience to the local communities, employers and their workers. Wellness Corner users report saving at least two hours of work time by receiving care at the facility. The Wellness Corner is open to the public. Most insurance plans are accepted, and walk-in appointments are available.

The Fitness Center is available exclusively to Irvine Company office customers. It features state-of-the-art equipment, the latest in cardio and strength training technology, and amenities such as day-use and private lockers, showers and towel service.

The Zone, the boutique fitness-training studio that is open to the public, offers athletic-inspired workouts using heart-rate training technology, team-based camaraderie and personalized effort reports. KINETIC is an expansion of an Irvine Company and St. Joseph Hoag Health Wellness Corner launched in late 2014 at The Village apartment community in Irvine to provide medical and wellness services to residents. The partnership expanded in January of 2015 to the Jamboree Center office complex in Irvine, serving employees at nearly 200 businesses.

In the San Diego market, The Irvine Company partnered with Scripps Health to open a Scripps HealthExpress, a new retail clinic offering at The Plaza, an Irvine Company workplace community in La Jolla.
