Digital Marketing trends for 2016

LEICESTER, U.K. - Feb. 16, 2016 - PRLog -- In the last article, we discussed the Digital Marketing trends and techniques that are staying in 2016. With Digital advancements being made at a phenomenal rate, the next best gadget is being released just days after the last one’s been out. So what new gadgets are being released in the Digital World this year, and what challenges could these pose for marketers in years to come?

1.    Accessorize

Wearable technology sounds more like 23rd century than 21st but here we are. With Apple watches selling like hotcakes, digital marketing techniques will also have to adapt in an effective way. With wearable technology being made for busy bodies, the aim is to have the least time possible looking at the watch because everyone these days appears to have better, more important things to do. The challenge for marketers here is this: how do you market to someone who only has a screen the size of a watch dial and hardly even looks at it? No doubt, marketing experts will need to rethink and get really creative if they want to appeal to the growing population of people donning the wearable technology.

2.    It’s Virtually Here

Aside from the immediate future, there’s also the long-term future to think about in the world of Digital Marketing. If you haven’t heard about the Occulus Rift, it’s time you did. The big guns of the Digital world such as Google and Facebook have invested their money in a virtual reality headset and if you thought this was all a long way away, think again. With the Rift available for pre-order already, it looks like we are at a brink of yet another technological revolution. Although this is something that will no doubt transform Digital Marketing as we know it in the coming years, there is no doubt that businesses will need to rethink and restructure how they decide to digitally advertise themselves at some point. No doubt marketing this way will cost top dollar so although this will be a good opportunity for those with plenty of money, unfortunately, it’s not such great news for those smaller start-up business that have a smaller budget available.

3.    Team Work

Marketing your business by yourself is now no longer an option. If you really want to combine various aspects of digital marketing and think about the future, it may be worth consulting a Digital Marketing expert who is familiar and up to date with many of the above aspects. Realistically, having all of the above at the same time is not achievable and it’s better to start off with the basics and build your way up to the more complex strategies as you increase your online presence. Digital Marketing is a gradual process and if you have the correct team of people behind you and your business they will be more than happy to advise you.
