The Need For Networking: More Than Just Talking

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Feb. 15, 2016 - PRLog -- January was a busy month for several team members of Zone Marketing. They traveled to Chicago, Illinois and Austin, Texas for networking and learning opportunities.

The networking opportunities allow team members of Zone Marketing to learn while also giving their own tips and advice. Team members talk and exchange what they’ve learned over the course of their time in the business industry. Networking opportunities are always happening and at Zone Marketing team members always enjoy making new friends and learning new things to help increase growth opportunity.

2016 started off with the newest opportunity to learn as team members headed to Chicago. At the two-day event three members of the Zone team worked with other professionals to create personal relationships, something that is stressed at the office, with others.

“I learned at lot about setting the pace and keeping people going,” Robert Declerq Assistant Manager at Zone Marketing said. “The biggest thing that I learned and brought back is how to make people better and make them stronger by meeting with them.”

“The overall takeaway for me was that you can always keep learning.” Declerq said. “The moral of story is keep on learning and keep on progressing in everything you do.”

Near the end of January, Zone Marketing President Scott Sanhamel had the opportunity to travel for another networking opportunity. The four-day trip was spent talking to others about business tactics and growth opportunities that can be implemented in 2016

“Most of the things I learned were on the entrepreneurial side,” Sanhamel said. “It was more on the tips about training, interviewing, and what types of people we should be looking in candidates.”

Sanhamel and 300 other business owners were present at the event and listened to some of the top owners in the country. He said that the event was a great refresher and that meeting with the other business owners made him even more excited for what 2016 holds for Zone Marketing. Throughout the rest of 2016, there are plans for even more opportunities to attend networking events across the country
