Are Your ‘Thoughts’ Controlling Your Life?

If we don’t tolerate it from others, then why tolerate it from ourselves?

Feb. 12, 2016 - PRLog -- We seldom accept negative comments from others, Yet many of us tolerate the negative critical chatter that goes on within our own minds.

Have you ever noticed a discomfort when talking to people whose attitudes are persistently negative? It can be very uncomfortable…Right?

If we don’t tolerate it from others, then why tolerate it from ourselves?

Unfortunately too many people are so used to a stream of self-limiting, critical inner dialog that we don’t realize the impact these thoughts have on our lives.

If you pay careful attention to your thinking patterns, you might be surprised at the negativity you find there. It is only when we become aware of the power of such thoughts that we can make a conscious effort to change them.

While the occasional judgmental thought may have little impact on your life, it’s the ongoing negativity that sometimes goes unnoticed that can have a destructive effect on your mood and your outlook.

I also want you to be aware of the tone of your thoughts.  Try to be conscious of your feelings, opinions, and judgments just for a single day. Really observe the messages you are feeding into your subconscious mind.

Consider your thoughts from the perspective of a detached observer. The key is to not judge yourself based on these thoughts. Simply watch the flow and make a note of the number of times you find yourself focusing on something negative or self-directed criticism.

As you become increasingly aware of your patterns of thought, whether positive or negative, you will gradually learn to control them and push the negative ones aside, similar to the way you might push a fly or mosquito off your arm because you don’t want the results of it landing!

Remember that the images and ideas that pass through your mind are just passing through and not a true representation of who you are. In training yourself to be aware of your thoughts, you gain the ability to actively control these thoughts, which in turn will help you control your life.

Hypnosis can help you replace this negative upsetting self-talk with positive, empowering thoughts, creating a foundation of positivity from which you can build a more happy, peaceful and successful life.

And if I can help you on this journey, please don’t hesitate to ask.If I think I can help you, I’ll tell you and if I don’t think Hypnosis is the best way for you to go, I’ll tell you that also.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Diane
