Do You Have What it Takes? New Ebook Series Helps You Preview Careers

TAMPA, Fla. - Feb. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- A new series of career ebooks is aimed at helping people find careers they can be passionate about. Called the Career Spotlight series, the ebooks will provide a snapshot view of one career field, giving readers important details they can use to decide if they want to pursue training or a job in that field.

Each ebook includes an interview with a pro who has worked in the field. It includes the pros and cons of working in that profession, earning potential, and personal characteristics to will help individuals succeed.

“It is my goal to help folks sidestep careers that don’t work for them,” says Author Cheryl Rogers, owner and founder of the Mentor Me Career Network. “We can spend a lot of time and money training for a career. These Career Spotlights should help readers spend that money wisely.”

She is kicking off the series with Career Spotlight: Newspaper Reporting, which will provide an indepth look at this competitive field. “I worked for 11 years as a reporter, so I share from my experiences at different size dailies and weeklies,” she says.

Next in the series will be Career Spotlight: Freelance Writing, another popular writing career. “I have worked as a freelancer for several years, mostly after I became a mother,” Rogers says. “I like the versatility of it. But it isn’t for everyone.”

Also anticipated are ebooks on teaching, special education, cosmetology, and being an accounting clerk. These books will feature insights provided by Theresa Franklin, a mentor at the Mentor Me Career Network.

“If we are going to spend one-third of our lives working, we should at least enjoy the work,”Franklin asserts.
