The centerpiece of the sale is a group of Fine Chinese Objects which are fresh to the market, including a striking nineteenth-century room divider estimated to sell for $2,000 to $4,000; an oversized Famille Rose porcelain bowl from the eighteenth or nineteenth century, estimated at $6,000 to $10,000; and an oversized Famille Verte porcelain charger with crane decoration, estimated at $2,500 to $4,000. The sale also features a late addition of 25 lots of fine jewelry and timepieces. Standouts are a delicately hand-fabricated 18K yellow gold Victorian brooch (estimated at $22,000 to $25,000) and a vividly beautiful 18K white gold and Jadeite brooch that can also be worn as a pendant (estimated at $6,500 to $7,500). Timepieces are from highly-desired makers Patek Phillipe Calatrava, Movado, Rolex, Le Coultre, and Cyma. Additional highlights of the auction include: • Hand-knotted antique Serapi Medallion rug with vegetal motifs. This room-sized rug has an exceptionally- • Richly detailed oil painting of an Italian landscape scene. This painting is of special interest because of its attribution to English painter Thomas Jones (1743–1803) • Large gilt bronze vase depicting a harvest scene by French sculptor Antonin Larroux (1859–1913) • Elegant early-twentieth- • Oil on canvas landscape by English artist Gainsborough Dupont (1754-1797), nephew of Thomas Gainsborough.
