Double the Fun and “Run Paradise” at the 11th Laguna Phuket Marathon!
By: Laguna Phuket Marathon
Runners participating in the 2 km, 5 km and 10.5 km events will have their chance on the course first on the afternoon of Saturday, June 4. The halfmarathon and marathon races will take place early morning on Sunday, June 5. This way, runners and spectators alike will have the chance to fully enjoy the races and activities at the event. It also provides a chance for runners participating in the halfmarathon and marathon races to squeeze in an extra practice or warm-up run in the 10.5 km Run on Saturday afternoon before their big race on Sunday. All they would have to do is register for races on both days.
And all that effort would not go unrecognized, as the organizers of the Laguna Phuket Marathon, Go Adventure Asia, have designed the finisher medals for the 10.5 km Run, the halfmarathon, and marathon to join together to create one spectacular, unique medal.
The Laguna Phuket Marathon race course is set against the magnificent backdrop of the lush greenery of Phuket’s tropical forests, rubber and pineapple plantations, spectacular beaches, quaint local villages, beautiful cultural landmarks, and, of course, stunning Laguna Phuket.
The Laguna Phuket Marathon is organized by Go Adventure Asia to be a fun and family-oriented affair in conjunction with the Laguna Phuket Foundation, which supports educational and social development of local communities as well as marine and natural environmental conservation. Aside from the races, the event also offers an expo, pre-race pasta party, and farewell BBQ.
Early-bird registration for the 11th Laguna Phuket Marathon is coming close to an end with the deadline on February 29, 2016. For more information and registration, please visit www.phuketmarathon.com, www.gotorace.com or call +66 2 236-2931-2.
