By: Harrow Sports “I am delighted to win my first ever 70K tournament,” Joining the Professional Squash Association in 2008 at the age of seventeen, Karim immediately made a name for himself by winning the first PSA World Tour event that he competed in, the 2008 Goshen Cup. In 2013, he was the youngest player to crack the World top 20, and received the 2013 PSA Young Player of the Year award. In November of 2015, Gawad won the Edmonton Open, the biggest title of his career up until the Swedish Open. Most recently, Gawad won the January 2016 Men’s Harrow Greenwich Invitational. The UCS Swedish Open title is the 13th PSA World Title of Karim’s career. Karim joined Harrow’s ELITE Team in March of 2012. The ELITE Team is made up of top Harrow-sponsored Professional Squash Players from around the world. In the UCS Swedish Open, Harrow ELITE Team members Laurens Jan Anjema, Alan Clyne also competed, making it through to Round One. End
