Pros and Cons of Carpeting Indoor Environments Discussed in New Video
The IAQ Video Network releases another educational production about important environmental, health & safety (EHS) issues.
“While carpeting can be a good fit for many situations due to its cost, warmth, variety and speed at which it can be installed, it also has a potential downside,” said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network. “Many types of carpet systems can release and adsorb VOCs. Carpeting can also act as a reservoir for allergens and chemicals from inside the property or materials brought in from the outside. Humid or wet conditions can also allow for the growth of mold.”
This educational video was sponsored by a number of organizations and leading industry professionals that work to protect and enhance the public’s health. Sponsors include: EMSL Analytical, LA Testing, Clark Seif Clark, Zimmetry Environmental, Hudson Douglas Public Adjusters and Healthy Indoors Magazine to name just a few.
