WILTON, Conn. - Feb. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Absolute Logic (www.absolutelogic.com), a firm providing technical support and technology consulting to Connecticut and New York businesses since 1991, today announced that the company has acquired the Norwalk, CT based IT firm Cloud9-IT.

Al Alper, founder and CEO of Absolute Logic, did not disclose the acquisition price but said that the two firm owners had been in talks for the last six months.  Under the terms of their agreement, Cloud9-IT’s assets and client bases will merge into Absolute Logic’s.

Cloud9-IT, founded in 2010 by Lars Andersson of New Canaan, CT, serves the IT needs of businesses in Fairfield and New Haven Counties.

Andersson will fill the role of Business Development Specialist for Absolute Logic. There will be an additional IT support person from Cloud9-IT who will join the Absolute Logic team also.

Alper said that for the Cloud9-IT clients the transition should be seamless. “Other than receiving correspondence under the Absolute Logic name, much of the day-to-day interaction for the clients will be no different. Those who are used to working with Lars will of course continue to do so. What we will offer additionally is extra tech support and resource which we believe will make an already excellent client experience even better.”

Alper said that there are plans later this year for an Open House where clients can meet the expanded team and tour the Wilton, CT facility.

Alper, a resident of Wilton, CT, has been at the helm of Absolute Logic since its inception in 1991. Prior to launching Absolute Logic, he was the founder of two successful businesses, MyReceivables, an online factoring/financial services company, and People Capital, a financial services platform for students looking to finance college educations.

Alper, who has worked in the tech space since the 1980s, is a recognized authority on issues of information security. He has authored articles on a number of IT-related topics and has spoken before a number of business, legal and medical organizations on the subject. In his hometown of Wilton, he has served on the community’s Finance Board, Planning and Zoning, and the Town Committee.

Andersson founded Cloud9-IT in 2010, building a firm that specializes in providing IT services for accounting, dentistry and manufacturing firms. The Sacred Heart University graduate brings more than three decades’ experience in the IT industry to the new entity, including numerous Microsoft trainings and work at several local firms prior to launching Cloud9-IT. “I’ve been involved in IT and Small Business consulting and system engineering since the inception of the PC.  My career has spanned a full range of services including network design to support, implementation, sales, purchasing and ultimately culminating as a business owner,” he said. “I’ve been looking for a firm to merge or partner with for some time,” said Andersson, adding, “And I never could find the right fit until now. Al (Alper) and I share the same philosophy of customer service, and I am very comfortable moving my client base over to Absolute Logic. I know that the added resources of our working together will greatly benefit all of our clients.”

Andersson is an active member of his community. He has served the region as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, and enjoys outdoor activities. He has participated in numerous bicycle century rides and has hiked Mount Rainier in Washington State.

Alper said, “Lars and I have known each other for many years. Before I had met him personally, I knew of the good work that his company did by their reputation in the industry. All of us at Absolute Logic are delighted to welcome Lars and his clients to our family, and we know that together we will continue to expand and become the region’s go-to source for all IT needs.”
