Family & Children’s Association Named Finalist in 2016 Long Island Imagine Awards

MINEOLA, N.Y. - Feb. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Family & Children’s Association is proud to announce that it is has been named a finalist in the 2016 Long Island Imagine Awards, offered by the prestigious Long Island-based accounting firm of Cerini & Associates LLP.

The Long Island Imagine Awards recognize “innovation and leadership” in the nonprofit sector, and are distributed every year to nonprofit organizations that consistently provide groundbreaking and innovative services to the people of Long Island. For 2016, FCA has been nominated in the categories of social impact and innovation. Other categories include the Rising Star Award, the Leadership Award and the Social Entrepreneurship Award.

When learning of the nomination, FCA President/CEO Jeffrey Reynolds, PhD, said, “All of us at FCA are very pleased to be nominated in these two important categories. We’ve been serving the most vulnerable populations of Long Island for over 130 years, so it means a great deal to us to be recognized for our achievements in such powerful areas.”

This is the fourth consecutive year that Cerini & Associates LLP will be honoring the progressive achievements of nonprofits on Long Island. Nominations for the awards can be made by the nonprofit itself or by other organizations that wish to acknowledge the accomplishments of their peers.

Winners will be announced on May 3^rd, 2016 at the Crest Hollow Country Club. There will be a $5,000 grant presented to the winner in each category.
