“I am confident that NACRC and IACREOT will together elevate the standards and missions of both organizations into a new organization representing the finest Recorders, Elections Officials, Clerks and Treasurers, both nationally and internationally,”
The merger and new organization announcement comes as a result of a vote by both organizations on June 30, 2015, to approve the proposed merger. The new merged organization IAoGO will officially begin operating on September 1, 2016.
“The National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials and Clerks and the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers are now ONE!” said IACREOT President Tim Nanney. “We are very excited to offer our members and partners a stronger, more vibrant organization. If you are a government official or provide products and services to this constituency, you will certainly want to be a part this new organization.”
The two organizations will come together for the first time at a joint 2016 NACRC/IACREOT Annual Conference in Memphis, Tenn., June 24 - July 1, 2016. The new IAoGO logo will be revealed during the conference and new officers elected. All members of both organizations are invited to attend to celebrate IAoGO.
Representatives from both organizations have worked together tirelessly to form the new IAoGO. “As co-chair of the merger committee, I offer my gratitude and thanks to the members who contributed to process of the merging of two historically great organizations!”
The NACRC-IACREOT merger is an important alliance to create a stronger, unified voice and combined resources for government officials across the U.S. and Internationally. The merger is the result of several years of discussion and was first officially announced to the NACRC membership in 2014.
