Cozy Cat Press Announces New Julie Seedorf Mystery

AURORA, Ill. - Feb. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Patricia Rockwell, publisher at Cozy Cat Press, today revealed the publication of the company’s latest book––Julie Seedorf’s The Penderghast Puzzle Protectors, first in her “Brilliant, Minnesota” series.Seedorf is the author of the popular “Fuschia, Minnesota” series, which includes Granny Hooks a Crook, Granny Skewers a Scoundrel, Granny Snows a Sneak, and Granny Forks a Fugitive.

The light-hearted mystery tells the story of Jezabelle Jingle and her neighbors in the Penderghast section of Brilliant, Minnesota, who have a mystery on their hands. Someone is stealing sections of hardwood floors in their homes and the thefts may be connected to a long-hidden treasure left by the founders of Brilliant. Not only that, there’s a dead body in a basement to add to the mix. Can Jezzy and her quirky friends figure out the puzzle and find the treasure before some other, unknown person––maybe the murderer––beats them to the punch? Or will the town’s Chief of Police, Hank Hardy, prevent the group from their sleuthing? Anything can happen in the strange little town of Brilliant, Minnesota. After all, brilliant minds create brilliant finds!

Author Seedorf owns her own computer repair business, but her secret undercover job is writing. Her column “Something About Nothing” for a Minnesota newspaper is about nothing, which is, she says, “what we talk about most of the time, always with something underneath the conversation.” She has been a wife, mother, grandmother, housewife, barmaid, salesperson, activity director, full time volunteer and more. Her motto is, “If you dream it, you can do it.” Her Fuchsia Minnesota series was the first of her journey in her undercover career. Having lived in small communities in Minnesota all her life, she knows the richness and uniqueness that only small town living can bring and, with a little humor and imagination, she attempts to transforms those experiences into her imaginary Fuchsia and Brilliant communities.
