Aspiranet invites public to learn about foster care and adoption at new district office celebration

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Feb. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Aspiranet, one of California’s leading and most diverse social service agencies supporting current and former foster youth, will celebrate the grand opening of its new district office in San Bernardino.

On Wednesday, Feb. 24, the public will be invited to the human services agency’s ribbon cutting ceremony. Core Program Director Gina Aguirre and TAY Core Program Director Hank McKee will address the need for foster care and programs for transitioning age youth that are available through Aspiranet. Other speakers include a local foster parent and former foster youth from the TAY-Aftercare program.

“It is the support from the community that helps our programs thrive,” stated Aguirre. “The public is invited to learn about the many programs offered by Aspiranet and how they can get involved to support Aspiranet’s mission and the youth it serves.”

The event will feature a TAY/Aftercare program youth art contest which guests will be able to vote for a winner, coloring activities for children, and guests will be treated to refreshments. Aspiranet will also acknowledge major donors and community partners.
