Follow on Google News | Tracy Draper Rides A Stradalli Cycle Across AmericaBy: Stradalli Cycle It chronicles the work and dedication that goes into the ride of a lifetime, the difficulties faced and the true accomplishment of reaching your goal. The 3,000 plus mile journey which took Tracy and her team through the Mojave Desert, Rocky Mountains, Great Plains and past other amazing sites along the country was truly an event of a lifetime. Tracy is a long-time friend of the Stradalli cycle family and owns two of the golden Como beauties. Here is how one of them fared on this cross country adventure as taken from Chapter 5: Mojave Madness. "Route 66 has its share of stories, I’m sure. Parts of it were actually pretty nice with the big blue and white logo painted in the middle of smoother pavement. But as we headed deeper into the desert, we saw the road all but disintegrate underneath our wheels. Disintegrate may be an understatement. Loose gravel, fissures three-inches wide, potholes, uneven pavement where it crumbled over the years of baking made for a very rough — and dangerous — surface. I truly feared that my bike was going to shatter because the road was rougher than anything my beloved Goldilox, my gleaming, ultra-stiff, carbon-fiber Stradalli road bike had ever been introduced to. She is used to fast, smooth road surfaces. My jaw was chattering so ferociously that I had to ride with my mouth open to avoid chipped teeth but my Carbon Stradalli handled it no problem. Tracy’s exhilarating adventure caught the attention of the public as well as Stradalli Cycle CEO Tom Steinbacher. “Tracy has been a member of the Stradalli Cycle family for years and her story is truly inspirational. I really enjoy hearing stories of how cyclists take our bikes to the extreme, use them for amazing adventures and how they can help change a life in a positive way. I don’t care if it’s riding to work or riding across America, it’s great to see your bike being used by incredible people like Tracy.” Tom Steinbacher http://carbonroadbikebicyclecycling.com/ End
