SAN DIEGO - Feb. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO - Feb. 2, 2016  -- Gone are the days having a poor credit record means your vehicle might come with a little something extra: A “Payment Tracking Device".  With the new “connected" vehicles the car companies are now keeping tabs on where you’re going, who is driving and how you’re driving. In time the new “connected” vehicle will be sold to someone with poor credit. Where did it all start?

The concept started by a company called Sekurus that has sold over 1,000,000 devices worldwide.  As the inventors of the technology and the market leaders, their devices don’t just provide location on demand but a location history, most frequented stops and more importantly, a proprietary algorithm that will tell you where drivers are most likely to be found.

Sekurus devices have been around for 17 years, used mainly by “Buy Here, Pay Here” used car dealers who extend high-interest loans to vehicle buyers with poor credit. The devices can set off a beep in the vehicle when someone has missed a payment, can be used to create a geo-fence so that a dealer can receive an alert if a vehicle has been impounded, and of course, can activate a starter kill switch if consumers default on their payment obligations.

Sekurus has been at the forefront of this payment device industry since the beginning.  They helped develop legal rulings that determinded that payment devices were legal and safe for the consumer. They have been developing GPS devices that protect assets, reminder devices that remind customers when payments are due and will even tell finance companies if devices have been tampered with.  They soon will be introducing the next generation devices that will not only help the finance company mitigate their loan risk management but will, for the first time, give the consumer the most powerful anti-theft protection available on the market.

Sekurus is committed to helping finance companies mitigate risk, protect assets, and help rebuild consumer credit and they are now even more committed to helping the consumer with the most advanced communication and protection system for their vehicle that has ever been offered.
