-- Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival, a multi-genre film festival which has already announced its expansion to 10 days this year, November 4th - 13th, and the addition of Buffalo Dreams Family Film Festival to its programming, now announces it will include Buffalo Film Expo (BFX), an educational forum designed to foster professionalism and networking opportunities in Western New York's growing film community. Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival is entering its fourth year as a leading international film festival in the area, and Buffalo Dreams Family Film Festival, which includes the Young Student Filmmaker Award, makes its debut. Buffalo Film Expo previously ran as a stand alone event in 2013 and 2014.
"We took a break from Buffalo Film Expo last year so we could concentrate on Buffalo Dreams," says festival founder Gregory Lamberson. "By including the expo as part of the festival, we're not only serving the community by bringing the best independent genre films and family films from around the world to Buffalo, and shining a spotlight on local artists, we're contributing to the burgeoning community of screenwriters, directors, actors, and technical craftspeople in the area. Buffalo Film Expo will feature workshops, seminars, and demonstrations by locals who make their living in their chosen fields."
"By bringing all three of these events together, we hope to make a real and positive impact on our community," says co-chair Chris Scioli.
Buffalo Dreams' programming includes shorts and features in the following genres: action, animation, comedy, drama, fantasy, horror, sci-fi, and thriller. In 2015, the festival screened over 100 films. This year, Roy Frumkes (Street Trash, The Substitute, The Definitive Document of the Dead
) will judge the festival's original screenplay competition. Submissions for films and screenplays can be made through FilmFreeway and Without A Box; the Early Bird deadline is March 1st.http://www.buffalodreamsfilmfest.comhttps://twitter.com/BuffaloDreams
