ST. LOUIS - Jan. 29, 2016 - PRLog -- The 39th Annual Builders St. Louis Home & Garden Show returns to America’s Center Thursday, March 3 through Sunday, March 6. Local companies and hundreds of experts have the information homeowners need to complete that Honey Do list! The Show is locally produced by the Home Builders Association of St. Louis.

The Builders Home & Garden Show is actually six shows in one, showcasing the latest in Lawn & Garden, Kitchen & Bath, Interior Design, Pool & Spa, Sustainable Living and Home Products. More than 1,400 booths fill nearly 380,000 square feet and provide consumers with an excellent buying opportunity, competitive pricing and side-by-side comparison between companies.

Spring comes to the Home & Garden Show, with 22,000 square feet of beautiful gardens and outdoor living spaces filled with fabulous flowers, water features and the newest products and ideas from dozens of companies. The Belgard Challenge showcases the latest hardscape products and design ideas and gives visitors the opportunity to register to win a Bordeaux outdoor fireplace worth $5,000!

Experts share helpful tips and information on the Lifestyle Stage. Shawna Coronado, organic gardening expert, author, columnist and blogger, will present informative gardening seminars. Attendees can learn how to grow 35-40 organic plants within a 2-square foot garden and discover creative ideas for building a suburban water-saving ornamental edible garden. Caryn Dugan, STLVegGirl, presents healthy living cooking seminars on the Cooking Stage, sponsored by Callier & Thompson Kitchens, Baths and Appliances. She demonstrates her mission, “A Plant on Every Plate,” with delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

Sustainable living is important in today’s world and the Show has experts who can help homeowners learn how they can save money, breathe easier and help the environment. The GeoComfort Green Products Pavilion has information about green building practices as well as things that can be done in existing homes to make them more sustainable.

New this year is Upcycle Alley, an area where people can discover ways to make the old new again. There will be exhibitors specializing in repurposed or refurbished materials, Hands-On Workshops for adults, creations by local art students at the Recycled Mixed-Media Art Show, and fun hands-on art projects for kids using recycled materials. Hands-On Workshops, presented by Nicole Genz of Rescued Furnishings, will include topics like painting and glazing techniques and fun craft projects using salvaged wood, mason jars, and more.

Across the country there is a tiny home movement, as people downsize and de-clutter their homes and lives. Show visitors can tour two tiny homes made from repurposed shipping containers, brought to the Show by Custom Container Living. These custom cabins, available in 20’ and 40’ sizes, are perfect for full-time tiny living, hunting/fishing cabins, man caves (or she sheds), detached offices, workshops or emergency/temporary housing.

OASIS Homes USA will construct a 1,200 square foot display that demonstrates high performance building practices and products. Their homes set the standard for energy efficiency, disaster resistance and personalized living.

The Home & Garden Show is the place to discover the latest home products. The New Product Showcase has 13 exciting products brand new to St. Louis. From interior products like innovative double-hung windows, a combination microwave/wall oven with culinary center, and steel pool tables, to outdoor items like durable, beautiful outdoor furniture, a garden tiller, and a zero-turn mower, visitors can learn about the newest innovations that will make their homes and lives better.

The Show is always a family-friendly destination. Kids and adults alike will love Flippenout Extreme Wall Trampoline Shows. A team of top athletes performs extreme trampoline shows to music. Their amazing shows feature twisting triple flips, complex acrobatic routines, athletes flying to heights of 25 feet or more, with snowboards, skis and cirque-style action off of a transparent wall.

The Kitchen & Bath Showcase has the newest styles and design ideas in cabinetry, appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures and countertops. A wide variety of pools and spas are on display and ready for purchase in the Pool & Spa Showcase. The Interior Design Marketplace features furniture, window and wall treatments, flooring and accessories, with many products new to the area. Visitors can tour four designer rooms to see beautiful room settings featuring the latest interior design styles, colors and accessories. Designer rooms are being created by Ethan Allen, IKEA, Sherwin-Williams and Youtopia Designs.

The Lawn & Garden Marketplace features a large selection of landscaping materials, equipment and supplies. Area residents can visit the Big Toy Test Drive, sponsored by Wm. Nobbe & Co., to try out some of the most popular John Deere lawn and garden equipment with no pressure or hassle.

Show hours are Thursday, March 3 through Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission price is $10 for adults, $4 for children 6-12, and free for children five and under. New this year, adults can visit the Show after 5 p.m. for just $5! Special Show discounts are available with coupons from Schnucks. Show visitors can pre-purchase tickets online to receive $2 off adult admission any Show day and included is a full year’s subscription to Better Homes & Gardens (a value of $6). Sponsored by American Family Insurance, Official Insurance Partner. Discounted parking is available at select lots on Laclede’s Landing, with shuttle service to the Show.
