EASTON, Md. - Jan. 27, 2016 - PRLog -- Candle Light Cove senior living community has completed significant renovations and expansion is underway.

In light of the ongoing positive developments, the assisted living and memory care community will hold a “Discover the new Candle Light Cove” event on Thursday, Feb. 4 at The Milestone Event Center in Easton. An afternoon of entertainment, food and prizes will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Quartz Ballroom at the Milestone.

The event is open to the public. RSVP is requested as soon as possible at 888.374.5924.

“We are excited about the significant improvements that have been made at Candle Light Cove and what the future holds,” said Candle Light Cove Executive Director Cissy Stoner. “We want to tell everyone about renovations and the progress of the new addition. We will display story boards, floor plans, artist’s renderings and virtual tours.”

“We want to show people the features and benefits of the renovated community as well as our new building,” she said. “Potential new residents and their families will get a first-hand glimpse of the new Candle Light Cove.”

Prizes such as a flat screen television, an iPad, gift cards and more will be awarded. Stoner said new residents who sign a lease will receive a flat screen television for their apartment upon move-in. Guitarist Rich Barry will provide entertainment.

Candle Light Cove held a ground-breaking celebration on July 30, 2015, as the senior living community commemorated the start of a multi-million dollar project to build new units and renovate the existing structure Easton.

The new assisted living building will feature 12 one-bedroom units and 20 deluxe studios. The state-of-the-art community will meet the market demand for single-bed living accommodations and also will complement the renovated existing community, which is more diverse and structured with Life Stories memory care neighborhoods.

Moseley Architects is the project architect. A highly experienced senior housing architecture firm with multiple locations, Moseley has been involved in more than 250 projects in assisted living, independent living and adult day care communities totaling more than 30,000 units.

Work began last summer and the entire project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2016.

“The 12 new units will be complemented by a beauty-barber shop and bistro as well as an aviary, which is a popular attraction at many IntegraCare communities,” Stoner said. “There will be an activities and crafts room, a library and a dining room with a fireplace. We also are proud of our Life Stories videos, which honor the life stories of our residents.”

The one-bedroom apartments will feature a living room, private bath and a kitchenette area. The building also has a large, covered front porch and a rear screened-in porch. A wellness area, club room and resident and commercial laundry areas are included.

The development plan called for 24,223 square feet to be built to complement the original buildings.
