AFC Urgent Care Announces Third Danbury Location

BROOKFIELD, Conn. - Jan. 28, 2016 - PRLog -- (DANBURY, CT)- January 26, 2016- AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care Danbury is delighted to announce the opening of a third Danbury location, at 74 Newtown Road, opening early this summer. Directly across the street from Berkshire Shopping Plaza, on the former Action Motors site, the newest state of the art Danbury urgent care center looks forward to to offering easy accesssibility to urgent care on the east side of Danbury, as well as Bethel, Brookfield and Newtown. As with all of of their locations, hours of operation are 8am to 8pm during the week and 8am to 5pm on the weekends.

Medical services at the east side walk in urgent care center will remain consistant with their other 2 centers located at 2 Main Street, which opened in March of 2013, and the 2^nd location at 100 Mill Plain Road, which opened this past spring and brings easy urgent care accessibility to the west side of Danbury as well as Pawling and Brewster, NY.

At all 3 centers, patients are treated under the care of local Board Certified Doctors, Physician Assistants and APRNs. All doctors are also USCIS Certified Civil Surgeons, and able to perform full immigration physicals as well. They are able to treat everything from viruses and infections, cuts and fractures to ear, eye, and skin issues. The new, facility will have its own on-site laboratory, pharmacy and x-ray equipment enabling doctors to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries as well as dispense medication to our patients.

Along with urgent care issues, AFC Urgent Care Danbury also provides physicals and vaccinations for school, sports, immigration, DOT and pre-employment.  They also provide a very strong and Occupational Health program for employers providing care for Workers’ Compensation cases and employee-related testing, such as drug screening and hearing tests – the most efficient and accessible in the region.  The center will create about 20 new jobs in the east side of Danbury.
