Follow on Google News | Ricko AK Releases Music Video For "Day1z"By: StreetClassy Creative Group Beat Plugz produced the track. Reel Lyfe Filmz filmed and directed the music video. The video was filmed in two locations; Atlanta, Georgia and in AK’s hometown Anniston, Alabama. While in Anniston, AK visited a few landmarks and places that are sentimental to his growing up in Calhoun County; including his alma mater, Oxford High School. Ricko AK states that "Day1z" is one of his favorite songs in his catalog. When asked about the significance of “Day1z” to him; AK reflects back to how the song all came together. “I knew that “Day1z” was going to be special before I recorded it. I remember spitting it for the VP of Lavish Lyfe Music Group (LLMG) and watching her go crazy over the hook. This was before I had verses to it. Once I laid the vocals down, I knew I needed that extra piece to the puzzle. I stumbled upon an old Tupac interview, and the first words Tupac spoke in the interview were like "icing on the cake"; my team and I chopped up the audio for the track. In my second verse I make a reference saying that ‘I am talking to’em like Pac.” "Day1z” is a song that everyone can relate to and turn up to. It is a salute to the people that believe and support your dreams and movements before they come into fruition. It’s a representation of loyalty.
