The Friends of Nathan Foundation seeks annual gala sponsors

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - Jan. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- On April 9, The Friends of Nathan Foundation will host its 7^th annual gala at Concorde Banquet Hall, 20922 N. Rand Road, in Kildeer, Ill. The nonprofit foundation provides financial aid and support to children with cerebral palsy and other debilitating diseases.

Since the nonprofit’s inception in 2007, more than $800,000 has been raised to support its mission with 94% of the funds raised going directly to the children and families the foundation assists.

“The gala is our main fund raiser,” said Tom Mueller, president and founding director of The Friends of Nathan Foundation. “Each time we have a successful gala we use the funds to expand the number of families we help. One of our goals is to be able to send 10 children to a special needs summer camp in 2016, which will cost $15,000.”

Through corporate sponsorships and private donations the number of children FONF serves has grown from one child in 2007 to 37 in 2015. This past year alone, FONF provided funds for 419 sessions of therapy; 1,000 hours of respite care and almost $10,000 in medical treatments. Through the years FONF has helped build four special enabling bathrooms; provided ceiling tracking for better and safer child transferring in the house; and several ramps to allow safer access in and out of their homes.
