15th Anniversary of Motivation & Inspiration Day & Month Acknowledged in United States Congress, New York State Senate & Assembly and by Governor Andrew Cuomo
The United States Congress passed H. Res 308 on December 18, 2001 making January 2nd of every year National Motivation & Inspiration Day© and the New York State Senate passed S. Res. 3850 acknowledging Motivation & Inspiration Month in New York State. “I created National Motivation & Inspiration Day© after the tragic events of 9-11-2001, because in all of the loss, despair and sadness, I saw Americans working side-by-side to accomplish amazing things,” says McCrudden. “When it comes right down to it, what is more important than motivating and inspiring people, Americans, New Yorkers, everyone, especially our children to be the very best they can be?” he concluded.
Congressman Lee Zeldin stated in the Congressional Record, “I rise in honor of the 15th Anniversary of National Motivation & Inspiration Day, which was originally introduced by my predecessor, Congressman Felix Grucci in 2001. The goal of National Motivation & Inspiration Day was to call for a renewed sense of national motivation, shortly following the devastating terror attacks against our country on September 11, 2001. As we enter a new year, many of us will use this time as a moment of reflection. I ask my esteemed colleagues to keep in mind the goal of National Motivation & Inspiration Day and let it continue to inspire us.” concluded Zeldin.
New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo wrote a letter acknowledging the importance of January being Motivation & Inspiration Month in New York State, stating, “New Yorkers recognize that the present and future well-being of our entire society requires that we all strive to be people of positive character, positive outlook and positive influence on one another. Motivation and inspiration are powerful and compelling forces in our lives, especially our children, as they prepare to become the next generation of leaders and stewards of our world.”
The New York State Senate, sponsored by Senator Ken LaValle, who sponsored the original resolution S. Res. 3850, passed Resolution J3243 on January 12 acknowledging the 15th anniversary of National Motivation & Inspiration Day and Motivation & Inspiration Month in New York State: https://www.nysenate.gov/
“As you might imagine, this is pretty extraordinary, and such an amazing honor to have The United States Congress, New York State Senate and New York State Assembly and Governor Andrew Cuomo acknowledge the 15th anniversary and the importance of National Motivation & Inspiration Day and Motivation & Inspiration Month.”, said McCrudden. “I’m the son of Irish immigrants that came to America to chase the American Dream. To me, there is nothing more important than for us to motivate and inspire our children to live life with passion and be inspired and motivated to be the very best human beings they can be every single day. January 2nd is the perfect day and January is the perfect month for us all, especially our children to establish goals that they want to achieve each year. This one act, of having our society become more goal oriented and motivated to being their very best selves, every day, think of how that can change our society and change the world, McCrudden concluded with the enthusiasm you might expect from an international author and motivational and leadership speaker!
