DURANGO, Colo. - Jan. 25, 2016 - PRLog -- It’s been snowing out west all winter. And now, with the Blizzard of ’16, East Coast resorts are finally able to have some winter fun! GetOutfitted, the “Rent the Runway” of softgoods and hardgoods for year-round outdoor recreation, is primed to save customers time and money during El Nino’s big snow storms this spring.

A web service that rents premium ski apparel and accessories, from brands like Patagonia, Burton, Obermeyer and Smith, shipped through the mail, directly to your doorstep or resort, GetOutfitted has been rapidly expanding operations, with the addition of MSR snowshoe rentals (the fastest growing winter sport), premium goggles from Zeal Optics and same-day delivery in Summit County, Colorado (serving Breckenridge, Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone and Copper Mountain resorts).

With shipping capabilities nationwide, GetOutfitted has built an affiliate network of over 180 and growing, including hotels, concierges, travel agents, airlines, booking platforms, and more. Examples include Copper Mountain, Ski.com, Aspen & Snowmass’ Central Reservations, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton and the Montage.

“Buying ski apparel can cost you upwards of $500 for a full outfit. And if you have growing kids, you’re buying new snow clothes every single year,” says Julian Flores, GetOutfitted Founder and CEO. “For less than 15% of the cost of purchasing, customers can rent for easy, one-time use, with no shipping costs.”

Apparel rental packages start at just $33 per day for adults and $20 per day for kids. Renting individual items is also an option. For example, adult jackets start at $13 per day. GetOutfitted also partners with local hardgoods rental shops across the country, including Ski Butlers and Black Tie Ski Rentals, to allow for easy, one-stop shopping and on-mountain equipment delivery.

“We’re not here to compete with the local rental shops,” says Flores. “We’re here to make sure the skiing experience is seamless and extremely positive for everyone, whether an avid skier, a traveling family or a beginner on the slopes.”

“Let’s face it — one of the most uncomfortable aspects of snowsports can be the weather conditions. If you’re freezing cold and wet you’ll probably never return. But if you’re warm, dry and have a little bit of confidence in the season’s best looking and performing gear, you’ll have a better time and are more likely to return to the sport.”

Likewise, Flores says their model is beneficial for manufacturer sales as well.

“We’re truly helping our partners with sustainable brand loyalty,” says Flores. “For example, last season 50% of our snowsports customers identified themselves as first-timers or beginners, so their first and only experience skiing or snowboarding, to this point, was with whatever they chose to rent with us. If they have an excellent first experience with our service and decide they want to continue with the sport by investing in gear, they’re, of course, most likely to purchase our partners’ gear.”

With a 90 Net Promoter Score and 98% fit satisfaction, GetOutfitted is confident customers will return to their service or purchase their partners’ goods. At the same time, GetOutfitted has developed discount deals for their customers with their brands. Interested in buying an Oru Kayak, but hesitate on the large investment?
