US Navy Seabee Coins: We Build, We Fight, We Break Sh**

GULFPORT, Miss. - Jan. 30, 2016 - PRLog -- Today, NavyCrow.com The Premier Navy Pride apparel and memorabilia company announced that they have released two new coins designed to honor the Naval Construction Force, whom are commonly referred to as Seabees. The name “Seabee” came from their initials of “CB” for Construction Battalion, formed in 1941 and made famous in the 1944 film The Fighting Seabees, starring John Wayne the “Bees” as they have become known have been involved in every major military operation since WW II and have earned their place in history. In an effort to recognize these outstanding men and women, and their dedication NavyCrow.com has created this design, incorporating the original “Fighting Bee” holding an M4 carbine rifle, above crossed M1903 Springfield rifle and naval cutlass. The weapons are flanked by Oak Leaf sprigs; the symbol of the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps. The slogan “We Build We Fight” is representative of that often Seabees serving in war zones have been called upon to not only provide construction of bases, landing strips, hospitals, piers, etc but also to defend themselves and their construction projects from enemy fires. Often times during the War On Terror Seabee Battalions were responsible for their own security, as the US Marines were stretched too thin to be much assistance.

This unique artwork was designed in two different color schemes. The “original” features a more rich coloring of a golden bee and accented by a deep black background bringing the design to its’ fullest extent highlighting the 2in solid metal 3D coin. The second variety of this awe inspiring design is the “vintage” which still retains the original coloring of the coin, however the colors are more subdued and the plain silver background brings out the details of the design to an entire new level highlighting the amount of detail that is incorporated into this AWE INSPIRING COIN.
