Follow on Google News | The Center for Urban Families celebrates nearly two decades of job training and placementBy: The Center for Urban Families CFUF adapted the STRIVE® Baltimore pre-employment training in June of 1998 as an affiliate of STRIVE International to help men and women develop the skills and behaviors needed to secure and maintain jobs. Since then, CFUF members have completed 200 STRIVE® Baltimore trainings allowing CFUF to serve over 1,500 men and women per year while placing over 6,400 of its members into full-time jobs. The Center’s next STRIVE® Baltimore training will begin on January 29th. About STRIVE International STRIVE is a leading national non-profit that helps men and women permanently lift themselves and their families out of poverty through sustained, living wage employment. It does this through a holistic, long range approach to job readiness training that addresses attitude as well as job skills and the culture of work. It has an impressive success rate.
