BALTIMORE - Jan. 21, 2016 - PRLog -- The Center for Urban Families (CFUF) will host “Celebration of an Era,” tonight from 6pm-9pm at its facility located at 2201 North Monroe Street to commemorate the organization’s 17 years of service to Baltimore City providing pre-employment training and job placement to economically aspiring men and women. The landmark celebration will feature testimonials from CFUF members and supporters as well as interactive art activities, music, and light fare.

CFUF adapted the STRIVE® Baltimore pre-employment training in June of 1998 as an affiliate of STRIVE International to help men and women develop the skills and behaviors needed to secure and maintain jobs. Since then, CFUF members have completed 200 STRIVE® Baltimore trainings allowing CFUF to serve over 1,500 men and women per year while placing over 6,400 of its members into full-time jobs. The Center’s next STRIVE® Baltimore training will begin on January 29th.
