- NPT Publishing Group announced today the decision to increase the publishing frequency of EXEMPT magazine to six times a year.

Reaching more than 12,000 nonprofit financial decision-makers, EXEMPT provides insightful and timely news about the finances of the nonprofit sector. The magazine was launched in the fourth quarter of 2003 and was delivered three times last year. According to Ted Olczak, publisher of the NPT Publishing Group, the decision was made to increase the frequency to six times a year when it became clear that nonprofit executives and board members wanted a more in-depth presentation and analysis of the financial matters that affect their organizations. To do this, it was necessary to publish EXEMPT more frequently.

“The marketplace demanded this change,” said Olczak. “There was a clear need for more analysis of the financial ramifications of running a nonprofit and we are ready and willing to fill that need.”

“EXEMPT is unique in that it’s all finance, how to get revenue and what to do once you secure it,” said Paul Clolery, vice president and editorial director of NPT Publishing Group. “The charitable sector is the heartbeat of this nation. It is also its educational arm, its healthcare system and its safety net.”

The upcoming March issue of EXEMPTwill include topics such as the risk of BYOB as a business practice, online board management, big winners in capital campaigns and quick questions for the CFO.  To further celebrate the new frequency of EXEMPT, the March issue will have a bonus digital distribution to the nearly 48,000 subscribers of the EXEMPT eNewsletter, which is sent out 24 times a year.
