The Order of the Sword and Shield (OSS) is the first national academic and professional honor society dedicated exclusively to homeland security, intelligence, and all protective security disciplines. The purpose of this organization is to promote critical thinking, high scholarship and professional development, and to further enhance the ethical standards of the protective security professions. Adelphi’ Adelphi University congratulates the three members inducted this fall: Robert Bristol, Robert Designore, and Kathleen Murray. The inductees come from both the M.S. in Emergency Management Program as well as the Graduate Certificate Program.
