Hodges University Names New Director of Development

NAPLES, Fla. - Jan. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- Hodges University welcomes Timothy E. Hall as its new director of development. Hall joins the Office of Institutional Advancement and is responsible for fundraising and cultivating donor relations on behalf of Hodges University.

“Tim is a great addition to our University Advancement staff. He comes with tremendous knowledge in the financial sector and has many connections in our region, especially in Naples,” said Dr. David Borofsky, Hodges University president. “Tim is solidly behind the mission of Hodges University, and he is committed to helping us find and secure the financial resources necessary to help our students be successful. He has a long history in the banking and education sectors and that combination of business acumen and educational experience makes him a perfect fit for our growing adult student population.”

Graduating with a MBA from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bates College, Hall spent more than 30 years serving at the executive level within the banking industry, most recently as the senior vice president of First American Bank in Naples. His executive experience also includes time as the vice president and senior portfolio manager for Hudson Realty Capital, LLC in Fort Myers; senior asset manager for Thompson, Cobb & Bazillo, LLC in Washington, D.C.; and president/CEO of Eisinger, Kilbane & Associates in Maryland.

With a passion for education, Hall also served as the president and CEO, and founding member, of the Chelsea School in Silver Spring, Md., from 1998-2007. A private school focused on educating students with learning differences, Hall was responsible for the overall management and financial well-being of the school, including its capital campaign, annual fundraising, budgeting and marketing efforts.

In 2007, he and his wife, Jill, moved to Florida where he reentered the banking industry. “I had a retirement home here in Naples prior to the move, so when I left Washington, I decided to make the move to Florida,” Hall said.

In November 2015, after meeting with Borofsky on multiple occasions, he applied for the position of director of development and accepted the position in December 2015.

“I have been so warmly received here at Hodges. My being here is as much of a reflection of the groundwork that Dr. Borofsky is building for this school,” said Hall. “I am flattered and excited to be a part of the foundation that is being put into place for the next president.”

“We are delighted to welcome Tim as the newest member of the advancement team at Hodges University,” said Phil Memoli, Hodges’ vice president of university advancement. “His extensive career in business, banking and knowledge of our local community makes him uniquely qualified to serve as director of University Advancement. Tim also brings to us years of advancement experience having served on several nonprofit boards.”

Hall admits he “will be working closely with Phil to ensure the success of the many events our department is planning, as well as cultivating relationships with those who generously sponsor our events. As a part of that cultivation, I want to be able to tell the Hodges story because there are so many that have yet to be told.”

In addition to his work at Hodges, Hall remains active in the alumni affairs of Bates College, and since arriving in Naples, he serves as an active member of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and the Collier County Honor Flight, a nonprofit organization dedicated to transporting local veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices.
