Follow on Google News | Black Arts Racing takes triple podiums in Circuit Hero 500 opening weekendBy: Black Arts Racing Zhuhai International Circuit, Zhuhai, China: BAR [Black Arts Racing; http://www.BlackArtsRacing.com] Torben Kristensen and Rich Pham in the TTX Ginetta unfortunately experienced mechanical issues but after lengthy repairs in the pits, still managed to finish 6th in the A Class. The TTX Ginetta of Will Dew & Lee Field unfortunately experienced mechanical issues and retired an hour into the race, while Noel Becker/Angus Kirkwood/Mark Chew were in clear contention for the Open Class win in their 455hp Radical SR8, but after being hit twice by another Open Class car, had to retire with suspension damage two hours into the event. In yesterday’s 2 hour Formula Enduro race, featuring a full field of Asia Formula Renault A & B Class cars, BAR took a clean sweep of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in qualifying with Dan Wells/Bill O’Brien, Neric Wei/Rich Pham, and Pete Olson/Sunny Wong, respectively. Due to an extended pit stop, Olson & Wong took 2nd on the podium finishing just 4 seconds behind the 1st place car after making up more than a minute after the pit stop, after the O’Brien/Wells duo spun in the last stint allowing Olson/Wong to take 2nd, with O’Brien/Wells 3rd on the podium and Wei/Pham 4th overall. The 2016 race season will officially commence March 19-20th with the Asia Formula Renault, Circuit Hero and other events at the amazing Pan Delta Race Festival. The festival features an exhilarating weekend of race action with over 30,000 spectators and live television and online viewing to millions of viewers around China.
