By: Telin Singapore Scheduled to come into effect by January 2016, the agreement will allow Telin Singapore and PCCW Global to draw from one another’s network portfolio across Asia and beyond. Telin will be able to expand its service coverage, while improving reliability when delivering content and applications over PCCW Global’s extensive international network which reaches over 3000 cities in140 countries worldwide. Most importantly, Telin’s enterprise customers will be empowered to deliver multiple services via a single connection which delivers high standards of quality and seamlessly connects enterprise networks with CE 2.0 facilities. Customers from both companies will gain access to a variety of applications, regardless of location, delivered via faster and higher-quality data connectivity, Mr. Sendang Praptomo, Head of Business Development and Planning at Telin Singapore, said: “Our collaboration with PCCW Global will enable us to roll out the CE2.0 ENNI service beyond Asia with our services and offerings, providing a more reliable and secure network for our enterprise customers. They will stand to experience the cost benefits from better network efficiency and increased productivity.” The CE 2.0 is the new generation of Carrier Ethernet service that enables service providers like Telin to enhance Ethernet service offerings to support local and international coverage for enterprise and carriers with speed, agility and assurance, without sacrificing technical differentiation. Telin Singapore will also be able to connect directly to PCCW Global’s network points-of-presence (PoP), providing both carriers’ enterprise customers with swifter access to Asian markets, while improving the overall network experience at lower cost. Another beneficiary will be the Media Masterplan drawn up by Singapore’s Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) because the interconnection will facilitate quality carriage of greater volumes of data, content and digital services between data centres. The goal of the iDA’s masterplan is to establish Singapore as a smart nation that leads the world in exploring the full potential of infocomms and media (ICM), while nurturing innovative talent – all to bring about economic growth, social cohesion and better living standards. Telin Singapore recently began construction of a third data centre in effort to support rising demand for premium data centre services in the city state.
