Justin Bieber Rocks R&B and Adele Talks About Beyonce

While searching for videos of a different singer, Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def Recordings, clicked on one of Bieber's 2007 videos by accident. Impressed, Braun tracked down the theatre Bieber was performing in, located Bieber's school, and finally contacted Mallette, who was reluctant because of Braun's Judaism. She remembered praying, "God, I gave him to you. You could send me a Christian man, a Christian label!", and, "God, you don't want this Jewish kid to be Justin's man, do you?" However, church elders convinced her to let Bieber go with Braun. At 13, Bieber went to Atlanta, Georgia, with Braun to record demo tapes. Bieber began singing for Usher one week later.

Four months after Adele's graduation, she published two songs on the fourth issue of the online arts publication PlatformsMagazine.com. She had recorded a three-song demo for a class project and given it to a friend. The friend posted the demo on Myspace, where it became very successful and led to a phone call from Richard Russell, boss of the music label XL Recordings. She doubted if the offer was real because the only record company she knew was Virgin Records, and she took a friend with her to the meeting. Adele has cited the Spice Girls as a major influence in regard to her love and passion for music, stating that "they made me what I am today."

Adele, 27, has an estimated net worth of $75 million, raking in around $32 million before taxes in each of the last three years. One report says she earned over $70,000 a day last year, even though she took the year off to raise her son Angelo. She earned most of this money through royalties from her previous records. Justin earned an estimated $80 million last year alone.
