The Fighting Cocks Pub Stottesdon - Nr Cleobury Mortimer

BRIDGNORTH, U.K. - Jan. 14, 2016 - PRLog -- Set in the picturesque hamlet of Stottesdon, 4 miles from Burwarton, and 9 miles from Bridgnorth, the Fighting Cocks is the true Hub of the community. Possibly one of the most recognised and ‘famous’ pubs in Shropshire, appearing on local and National radio, TV, and many pub, dining and walking guides including Hardens, Good Pub Guide, Alistair Sawdays, the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, Guardian Food Weekly  to name but a few.

An historic inn, offically dating back to 1830 as a pub, but older as a coaching inn, and a brew house. and now is famed nationally for its passion for local produce, real ales, and initiatives to support the local community, by opening its own shop, selling produce form the pub, local fruit vegetables, meats, and of course our famous homemade pies. Homemade puds are also served in the pub and the shop - but you will need to get there early!

The pub - Untouched for many years, the unassuming Fighting Cocks bar offers you a true Shropshire welcome - serving 3 or 4 CAMRA accredited real ales, of course all from the area and a wide selection of wines.
The Restaurant - Eat anywhere, drink anywhere is their policy, but if you prefer a more formal experience, you can hide yourself away in one of the dining areas, either upstairs in the oak beamed room, or at the rear in the cosy snug, to indulge on the daily menu - See our food section on our website www.fightingcocks.co.uk.
The Garden – at the rear offers peace and solitude, with stunning views across the sweeping countryside towards the Clee Hills, while listening to the wild life across the fields – traffic free! There are many splendid walks in the area too.
