(Palm Beach, FL – January 11, 2016)  The Colony Hotel - which The Palm Beach Post has hailed as “probably the best place for cabaret on the planet” – is bringing three more Manhattan headliners to the hotel's world famous Royal Room next month:

February 3-6

CAROLE J. BUFFORD

Back By Popular Demand

“If an award for ‘most likely to succeed’ was up for grabs among the younger generation of New York cabaret performers, Carole J. Bufford would be high on the list of contenders..

Reviews of Carole J. Bufford:

+ Stephen Holden, The New York Times: "And now there’s Carole J. Bufford, a sizzling cabaret performer (who) offers the fullest realization I can remember of a 1920s girl gone wild. Ms. Bufford has a bright, rangy voice and big blue eyes that emit snapping electrical charges. She can be dangerous, but she is also funny.”

The Cost to Attend Carole J. Bufford:

+ For each guest there will be a $60 cover charge on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, an $80 cover charge on Friday and Saturday, plus a $50 minimum for food and beverage.

February 9-13 & 16-20

TONY DANZA

Perhaps best known for his co-starring roles in the hit TV series Taxi and Who’s The Boss, the Emmy-nominated and tap-dancing Tony Danza also performed on Broadway in The Producers as Max Bialystock, The Iceman Cometh (opposite Kevin Spacey) and Honeymoon in Vegas, for which The New York Times praised his “deliciously underplayed star turn” that embodied “the cooler-than-cool spirit” of Frank Sinatra.
Reviews of Tony Danza:

+ Variety: “Although not a natural born singer, Danza has a mellow voice, great timing and comedic know-how that comes out to play.”

For each guest there will be an $120 cover charge on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, a $140 cover charge on Friday and Saturday, plus a $50 minimum for food and beverage.

February 23-27

MELISSA MANCHESTER

Back by Popular Demand

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Melissa Manchester started as a back-up singer to Bette Midler before becoming a solo artist selling-out Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall and theatres around the world. Her first smash hit was “Midnight Blue” and her songs have been recorded by Barbra Streisand, Dusty Springfield, Alison Krauss, Roberta Flack, Johnny Mathis, Kathy Mattea, Peabo Bryson, Cleo Laine, Barbara Cook and Mel Torme, among many others.

Reviews of Melissa Manchester:

+ Stephen Holden in The New York Times: “Melissa Manchester suggests a no-nonsense Hollywood gal of a certain age who has pointedly turned her back on the glamour thing in an effort to get real… With a voice that leaped from a whisper to a brassy whoop, she suggested a combination of Laura Nyro and Ethel Merman, at once ungainly and grand.”
The Cost to Attend Melissa Manchester:

For each guest there will be a $90 cover charge on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, a $110 cover charge on Friday and Saturday, plus a $50 minimum for food and beverage.

About The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach:

Host to American Presidents and British Royalty, Movie Stars and Corporate Czars, The Colony has been the center of Palm Beach society for nearly 70 years. An intimate, friendly boutique hotel, The Colony recently enjoyed a $14-million “reimagining” by internationally renowned designer Carleton Varney. Now each room and suite is different – no cookie-cutter rooms here – put together with a lot of vivid upholstery, unique lamps, floral patterns and eye-catching artwork, many by local artists. The result is a happy, classy feeling that maintains The Colony’s traditional British Colonial foundation while making it more Florida feeling and Palm Beach specific.

In addition, The Colony’s world famous Royal Room is widely considered to be one of the top three sophisticated cabaret rooms in the United States, featuring many Tony Award winners straight from Broadway and headliners from the classiest nightspots in San Francisco, Las Vegas and Manhattan.

Over the last several years The Colony Hotel has won numerous awards, including the highly coveted 4-Diamond Rating from AAA (2015); Hotel of the Year Award from the Hotel & Lodging Association of Palm Beach County (2012); the Quintessentially Palm Beach Award from the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce as part of the town’s Centennial Celebration (2011); and the Providencia Award from Discover The Palm Beaches (2009), the only time a boutique hotel has ever won South Florida’s most prestigious honor celebrating excellence within the local hospitality and tourism industry.
