By: Sahara Vision Productions
Susannah O’Brien is already gaining a solid foot into the film industry as being among those few women who have ventured into the male dominated genre of horror films. As a female director, she is helping to change the demographics of female horror filmmakers. While most horror movies are produced from a male perspective, women comprise half the population of the sci-fi and horror movie fanbase.
Encounter was picked up for distribution by Hannover House, one of the leading independent distributors in the United States. Their relationship to Sahara Vision Productions was solidified earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival. The film is already set to be released in 2016 to over 200 theaters throughout the United States. In addition, Sahara Vision Productions has a number of other projects in development. Among those is a film, also written, directed and produced by O’Brien called "The Doll". This sci-fi thriller will feature Valeria “The Human Barbie” Lukyanova.
O’Brien is poised and ready to become the next iconic filmmaker.
