A Story of Forgiveness: Kelly Roman

AUSTIN, Texas - Jan. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- This past holiday season (2015) I created a series I called "Life and Grief Through the Holidays." We all go through loss and it is devastating regardless of the time of year. Many people describe an extra heaviness during the holiday season or end of the year and I wanted to address this the stories of those who have been there and are there now.

We get strength from each other through our stories. My intention is to bring us together in community, across the miles, and share our common experiences. Every side of this will be addressed by whomever decides to join me. People have shared with us from all sides of this: ill, recovering, a loved one, paid caregiver, "expert"... all bereaved.

Today I am speaking with Kelly Roman about her story of living in forgiveness for her father who died this year; and, how she is getting through the holidays. She is the Director of Recreation at a long term care facility in New Jersey; she has completed her studies this year as a Death Doula and as a Spiritual Counselor.
