AVON, Ind. - Jan. 8, 2016 - PRLog -- The 2016 Toyota Highlander Crossover SUV has arrived in Avon with an updated rugged stance, and a host of new fans in the Indianapolis area. The base engine is the 2.7L 4-cylinder DOHC engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission that is capable of delivering 20 mpg city/25 mpg highway fuel economy. This pairing can produce as much as 185 hp and 184 lb-ft of peak torque. Toyota also offers a 3.5L DOHC V6 engine that is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that can be paired with either the FWD or the AWD drivetrain. This powerplant can produce as much as 270 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque.

The Toyota Hybrid pairs the 3.5L 24-valve V6 engine with Variable Valve Timing with intelligence with a 209 kWh electric hybrid system that produces up to 280 hp and can manage up to 27 mpg city/28 mpg highway fuel economy.

The popular crossover offers seating for up to 8 and a number of standard features that include the front and rear air conditioning with second and third row vents, integrated backup camera with projected pathing, Entune audio system with multimedia bundle, Bluetooth hands-free calling, Siri Eyes Free technology, driver multi information display, telescoping steering wheel, daytime running lights, and heated power outside mirrors.

Upgrading to the Limited Trim delivers additional features like the 12-speaker JBL audio system, navigation, perforated leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front seats with 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, LED ambient lighting and other available options.
