Follow on Google News | Shade Gallery Explores the work of Chris Maker: People, Place and State 2005-2015By: the monOrchid Chris Maker was traditionally trained receiving his Bachelors of Fine Arts from University of Minnesota going on to receive a Master’s Degree in City Planning from the University of Cincinnati and receiving his Masters of Architecture from The Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. Maker is a former member of the artist collective Eye Lounge and he has extensively exhibited his artwork across the nation most recently exhibiting with ASU Gammage Auditorium, Eye Lounge, Frontal Lobe Gallery and Mesa Contemporary Art Museum. His work has been features in publications both online and in print including Arizona Republic, Downtown Devil and Phoenix New Times. Please join us for the Opening Reception of Chris Maker: People, Place and State 2005-2015 on First Friday, February 5th from 6-10pm. The Closing Reception will be held on Friday, February 19th from 6-10pm featuring an intimate evening with the artist and an opportunity to hear the artist speak about his artwork and creative process. Chris Maker: People, Place and State 2005-2015 will be on display in Shade Gallery at the monOrchid from February 5th until February 28th, 2016. The monOrchid is located at 214 E. Roosevelt Street in the heart of Phoenix's downtown Roosevelt Row Arts District. The building is open daily and the exhibition may be viewed during business hours.
