Living Fresh Collection Donates Over $14,000 of Bed Linens to Habitat for Humanity of Broward

Jan. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Living Fresh Collection, a rapidly growing South Florida company, prioritizes environmental sustainability and believes there is nothing more important than a good night's sleep. This holiday season they continued to give back by donating over $14,000 worth of bed linens made from Tencel+Plus™ (fibers derived from eucalyptus) to the Habitat for Humanity of Broward.

Living Fresh Collection (LFC) continues to spread the holiday cheer throughout their community by sharing the gift of healthier sleep! LFC’s founders, Diana Dobin Kauppinen & Michael Dobin, put on their hard hats and sneakers and ventured out to one of Habitat for Humanity of Broward’s construction sites in Pompano Beach on Thursday Dec 17th, where they are building 5 new homes for 5 very deserving families! They took a tour of the site and presented a special gift, 100 Queen White Sheet Sets, on behalf of their Independent Sleep Consultants across the United States.

“Habitat for Humanity of Broward is more than just building homes and turning over keys,” said Perry Ecton, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Broward. “Our goal is to better the lives of our homeowner families. In partnering with the Living Fresh Collection, we are improving the lives of our partner families, one night at a time, by ensuring they are properly rested and prepared to face the day. I look forward to this partnership and the positive impact it will bring.”

“The Habitat for Humanity mission to build homes, communities, and hope has created the opportunity for so many families to live better lives. We are privileged to partner with them in honor of the Living Fresh Collection team and extend the opportunity of a cleaner, healthier sleep to those who need it most this holiday season,” said Diana Dobin Kauppinen, CEO and Founder of Living Fresh Collection.

Every sheet set donated will be distributed to each of the families as they move into their new homes!

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity of Broward brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat Broward offers a “hand up” not a “hand out” to low to very low-income families who are unable to qualify for conventional financing but are willing to work hard to improve their family’s lives. Key initiatives include empowering partner families through education, resources and support to successfully achieve their personal, academic and professional goals; teaching the youth of future homeowner families the skills and attitudes needed to make better life choices and break the intergenerational cycle of poverty; increasing awareness and educating the community regarding issues related to the affordable housing crisis and what they can do to help; pursuing green building certification for Habitat Broward homes in order to make our design more sustainable and eco-friendly; as well as revitalizing and strengthening the community by building affordable homes 0
