Ride Horses Affordably at Floyd Lamb Park
Horses4Heroes introduces new family-friendly activities for 2016
Saddle Up Saturdays and Sundays will include horseback riding in the Cox Community Corral, $10 for riders 8 and up and $5 for riders 7 and under, and $5 barnyard visits, (barnyard included with purchased rides). "Horse 101" sessions with miniature horses, activities in the Old Dairy Barn, and an afternoon community campfire are included in the fun. There will be a Food Truck, bounce house and future plans include hay wagon tours of Floyd Lamb Park and live entertainment. All Day wristbands can be purchased for $25 per person.
Every Friday, starting January 15, Horses4Heroes is presenting $5 Fridays, offering $5 horseback rides for children and adults, ages 2 and up, 10 am to noon. All rides include a visit to the barnyard and activities with miniature horses.
For Saddle Up Saturday/Sunday and $5 Fridays, admission to the park is $6 per car, but can be waived if guests RSVP at least 24 hours in advance. Park admission is free for those with military ID or existing park pass holders. The weight limit for all riders is 225 pounds. To RSVP, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
"These fun, family-friendly affordable activities are designed to introduce horses to beginners and our programs to newcomers," said Sydney Knott, president and founder of Horses4Heroes. "We offer horseback riding lessons, camps, birthday parties and field trips. All fees support operations at the Horses4Heroes Community Equestrian Center, including caring and feeding for 22 horses, and more than a dozen farm animals. The fees also support our free workshops for veterans with PTS, victims of domestic abuse and violence, recovering addicts and at-risk youth. We are proud of our partnerships with US Vets, The Shade Tree and Solutions for Recovery."
To make a reservation or for more information, email email@example.com. The Horses4Heroes Community Equestrian Center is located within Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs. The center is open, by appointment, for riding lessons and other activities, seven days a week.
