Tata Motors’ November sales Hit 2015 at 38,918 units

Dec. 31, 2015 - PRLog -- The automobile manufacturing giant Tata Motors Limited continued with its streak of registering a formidable annual growth in the M&HCV vehicle segment, in the month of November 2015, hitting a peak growth of 21%. The company registered total sales of 38,918 vehicles, including all exports, in its passenger and commercial vehicle segment. However, this is a drop of 7% from its over 41,720 units sold in November last year.


The domestic sale of the vehicles in the month of November this year was 35, 345 commercial and passenger vehicle. This is also lower by 6% from the over 37, 427 units sold over the same period last year.


The total sales, with exports included, for the fiscal year went higher by 3%, above the over 314,505 units sold in 2014. This obviously means a rise in the sales of Tata Indigo Parts too.

Passenger vehicles

In the month of November this year, the passenger vehicles from Tata Motors hit an annual decline of 13% at 10,517 units, lower from last year’s 12,021. While the general sales in passenger vehicles went lower by 11% in November 2015, going down from 10,286 units last in November last year, to 9,172 units over the same period this year; the compact car segment (excluding the sedan) witnessed an exponential growth of 33% hitting 5,821 in November this year, as compared to 4,376 the same time last year. The sales of UVs declined by 22%, to 1,345 units in, November this year.
However, the total sales of all passenger vehicles in the local market for the fiscal year hit 88,321 units, which is higher by about 10% as compared to last year. This is good news for Tata Indigo Parts dealers.

Commercial Vehicles

M&HCV sales , in the commercial vehicle segment continued to rise at 11,524 units; which is 21% higher as compared to November last year. However, a continued decline was noted in the Light & Small Commercial Vehicle sales, at 13,304 units; a 16% decline as compared to November 2014.
This affected the total commercial vehicle sales from Tata Motors in the local market that stood at 24,828 units in November this year, down by 2% as compared to November last year. However the sales of Tata Indigo Parts have been unaffected.
