By: Brazen Architecture Facilitated by citizen architect, Monica Gresser, principal of the downtown-based BRAZENarchitecture, BRAZENconversations is a series of discussions on social topics affecting the southern Nevada community. “Surviving on the Street: Why Does Las Vegas Have More than 11,000 Homeless Kids?” will take place at 7 p.m. at 1800 S. Industrial Road, Suite 102, in Las Vegas. There is no charge to attend, but space is limited so RSVPs are requested. “We will cover various issues of youth homelessness including what forces kids into homelessness and what types of things organizations, advocates and volunteers are doing to keep kids off the streets and to right them when they find themselves homeless," she said. According to Gresser, 40 percent of homeless youth in Las Vegas are gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender, so LGBT issues will be key to the January 8 conversation.
