Shore Builders Association Installs New President and Board, Anticipates Positive Changes in 2016

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Dec. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Shore Builders Association installed their 2016 President, Tom Bovino, as well as the new Officers, and Board of Directors during their annual Year End Celebration earlier this month at the Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune, New Jersey. With a room full of builder and associate members, industry icon and former builder, Joe Louro took center stage with a speech that brought down the house just before industry legend Bob Karen performed the installation. “Bringing back esteemed past presidents has always been a tradition for our annual installation, but we were so honored to have Joe Louro take to the podium to remind us how far we have come as an industry.  In addition, Tom requested that his long-time friend and mentor, past Shore Builders President Bob Karen, perform the installation, which drew even more of our past presidents and members to this event,” explained Gina McNamara, Executive Officer of Shore Builders Association.

Attending the installation were past presidents Corey Wescoe, Tom Critelli, Linda Bernaski, Dwight Pittenger, Bob Karen, Joe Louro, Peter Reinhart and immediate past president John Cummins. The association and it’s membership would like to congratulate the newly installed Officers including Mike Kokes, 1^st Vice President; Suzanne Kronenfeld, Vice President of Associates; Chris Amato, Treasurer; and Marge Karahuta, Secretary; as well as the newly installed Board of Directors.

Newly installed President, Tom Bovino, has a clear vision for the association in 2016, which will build on, and continue, the momentum that immediate past president John Cummins has set forward. One of Tom’s objectives for the New Year is to attract more builder members through a variety of builder outreach programs. As a result, he is asking current members to invite non-member builders to the Economic Forecast breakfast meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, January 13, 2016. In an effort to educate non-member builders on the benefits of a Shore Builders membership, as well as provide information on how to make membership in the association work for their company. Tom’s mission is to strengthen the association with increased builder membership, “Once we get new builder members, subcontractors will follow because our agenda benefits them equally.” To confirm this commitment to increasing membership, Tom has offered an incentive to current members, “If any member brings six new members into Shore Builders in 2016, that member’s dues will be complimentary for the year or credited against a sponsorship package if applicable.”

In addition to the Economic Forecast meeting in January, Shore Builder’s annual FAME Awards will be held on Thursday, February 25^th at the South Gate Manor in Freehold. The awards event will feature a 2-hour cocktail networking reception and open bar beginning at 6:00 PM, followed by the presentation of the winners in all categories.
