MANCHESTER, N.H. - Dec. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- New Hampshire writer Tim Morgan announces the release of an animated trailer for his zombie novel, The Trip. The new trailer includes actual dialog from the upcoming audiobook version of the novel.

"I'm really excited about the new trailer," says Morgan. "I've always dreamed of working in animation, and now I'm actually able to do it."

The Trip follows three friends on a cross-country bicycle trip when a zombie virus strikes. They turn back and make a desperate bid for home through infected territory.

The trailer features a newscaster (voiced by Sophia Cacciola) and main character Meghan (voiced by Felicia Flanagan), with characters designed by Amanda Poland and the zombie designed by Kurt Belcher.

Morgan is pleased with the talented crew joining him on the project. "I worked with Felicia and Kurt on the original trailer, and Sophia lent her voice to a character in my first animated short," says Morgan. "Amanda does awesome work, and things are really coming together nicely."

The work doesn't stop with the trailer: Morgan has written a screenplay based on the story, which is currently making the rounds of screenplay competitions. He is working with the team to produce an independent animated movie based on The Trip.

"I actually looked into producing this [The Trip] as a live-action movie," Morgan says, "but telling the story on the scale I wanted to tell it would have been expensive. That's why I turned to animation."

Morgan knew up front this would be a Herculean effort. "I have help, but a lot of the work - pulling the designs into my animation software; casting; sound design; editing...it's all on me." If all goes according to plan, the animated movie should be available around Christmas, 2017.

"I'm a year in at this point," says Morgan, "I figure I have about two more years to go."

The Trip is available now in print and Kindle format through Amazon.com, with the audiobook version in production and planned for release in March 2016.

Morgan is a self-professed "geek with a dream," working as a software developer during the day, while writing and making movies in his spare time. You can find out more about Morgan, what he's up to, and more at these web sites:
